Named after John Macpherson Berrien, a Savannah lawyer who later served as United States Attorney General under President Andrew Jackson, Berrien County was incorporated in 1856 as Georgia’s 116th county. The City of Nashville serves at Berrien County’s business center. Offering an excellent school system, access to healthcare, as well as numerous recreational, shopping and dining options, Berrien County is an outstanding place to work, live and play.
