"Providing opportunities today for excellence tomorrow!"
The Berrien County School District serves approximately 3,200 students in five schools: one primary school, one elementary school, one middle school, one high school and one charter school. Berrien County is home to one of the finest school districts in Georgia. The Berrien County School System’s mission is to achieve high levels of learning for all students in a safe and positive environment. We strive to prepare our students to be college and career ready. Our school system enjoys strong partnerships with businesses and higher educational institutions within close geographical proximity. The community, parents and staff offer tremendous amounts of support to our school system. Berrien County School District has earned SACS accreditation and Georgia Accreditation Association for all five schools.
The Berrien County District recognizes its obligation to the greater community to create an educational system that will encourage growth and prosperity, enhancing the quality of life for all citizens. We strive for continued improvement in the effectiveness of teaching and learning, as well as accelerated student achievement. Students at all schools within the district participate in instructional activities using a variety of technology tools and programs. Students at Berrien High and Berrien Academy have opportunities to apply for dual enrollment at local technical colleges and Valdosta State University, or they may take advantage of virtual courses, in addition to the classes traditionally offered on each campus.
